How to Burn a CD, DVD or Blu- Ray Disc Windows XP has built-in functionality to burn CDs: Insert a blank disc ( CD- R, CD- RW, DVD- R, DVD- RW, DVD+ RW or BD- RE) into the drive. When the drive options window appears, select Open writable CD folder and click OK. Drag and drop the files you wish to burn to the CD folder. Click the Display tab. Verify Direct Draw Acceleration is not disabled under the Direct X Features. If Direct Draw Acceleration is disabled, press the Enable button. Click Exit.
